Abstract

India's healthcare sector has undergone significant transformation in recent decades, owing to public and private investment, demographic shifts, and global demand for affordable medical services. The concept of medical value tourism, defined as the cross-border movement of patients seeking low-cost, high-quality healthcare, has emerged as a key growth area. This study investigates how impact investment has aided the growth of medical value tourism in India. The research uses a qualitative methodology supplemented with secondary data from industry reports, government policies, and empirical case studies to identify the key mechanisms by which impact capital facilitates healthcare infrastructure, promotes inclusivity, and improves service delivery for international patients. The findings indicate that targeted impact investments not only promote economic development but also strengthen India's position as a preferred global healthcare destination.
