Abstract

The Present Study Investigates Customers' Perceptions Towards Cross-Selling Services In Private Sector Banks, Focusing Specifically On The Thrissur District Of Kerala. The Significance Of Cross-Selling In The Banking Sector Has Gained Prominence Due To The Competitive Landscape And The Necessity For Financial Institutions To Enhance Customer Engagement While Maximizing Revenue. This Research Employs A Quantitative Methodology, Utilizing A Structured Questionnaire To Gather Data From A Diverse Sample Of Bank Customers Within The Region. The Analysis Reveals A Multifaceted Understanding Of Customer Attitudes Towards Cross-Selling Practices, Highlighting The Importance Of Trust, Perceived Value, And Service Quality As Critical Determinants Influencing Customer Acceptance Of Cross-Selling Initiatives. The Findings Indicate That Customers Exhibit A Generally Positive Perception Towards Cross-Selling, Particularly When They Perceive The Offered Products As Relevant And Beneficial To Their Financial Needs. However, There Are Notable Variations In Perception Across Different Demographic Segments, Suggesting That Age, Income, And Educational Background Play Significant Roles In Shaping Customer Attitudes. Furthermore, The Study Identifies Several Barriers That Hinder Effective Cross-Selling, Including A Lack Of Awareness Regarding The Available Services And Concerns Over The Aggressive Sales Tactics Employed By Bank Representatives. The Implications Of These Findings Are Pertinent For Banking Institutions Aiming To Refine Their Cross-Selling Strategies To Better Align With Customer Expectations And Preferences. By Fostering A Customer-Centric Approach And Enhancing The Communication Of Product Benefits, Banks Can Not Only Improve Customer Satisfaction But Also Drive Greater Adoption Of Cross-Selling Services. The Study Contributes To The Existing Literature On Consumer Behavior In The Banking Sector And Provides Actionable Insights For Practitioners In Developing More Effective Marketing Strategies Tailored To The Needs Of Their Clientele.
