Abstract

This study aimed to determine the extent to which soft drink and juice establishments adopt product ethics, and to identify the nature of the relationship between adopting product ethics, protecting the rights of the end consumer, and the end consumer's purchasing decision. To this end, a questionnaire was distributed to a random sample of 550 soft drink and juice consumers in Setif, Algeria. The results of the study showed that soft drink and juice establishments in Setif adhere to product ethics, and that there is a positive and moderate correlation between product ethics and the protection of basic consumer rights.
